main:1268 Starting squeeze2cast version: v1.82.2 ( 19:01:00)Īny ideas on how to enable chromecast audio as a player? I selected "squeeze2cast-arm6hf" as the binary in the configuration page. config/prefs/castbridge.xml remains empty even after clicking "Generate" (there a.re two: a chromecast and chromecast audio)Ĭonfiguration file missing - create one by clicking "generate" or, if autosave is on, refresh this page My problem is I can't see the chromecast in the same subnet. I have installed LMS on my qnap server (QNAP TS-230, Realtek RTD1296, 64-bit ARM) with a docker file and mapped the following hosts:container ports:Īnd installed the chromecast bridge plugin. So is that the answer? Perhaps an additional note could be added to the docs for -httpaddr etc to make it clear that there is more that must be done for these options to really work right. I did not try this, though, being in a panic about my radios not working! The one hint I saw is to force the radios to treat the server as a remote library by entering the preferred IP address. There has been a lot of discussion here over the years about servers with multiple addresses, but try as I might I could not glean any useful information: either why this doesn't work, or what a workaround might be. For instance, from the web interface, I could play music, but I could not turn them on and off. They could not see the LMS server, though the server knew about them and could push some things to them. However, my squeezebox radios worked oddly. Most of the services (including LMS) are to run on one address the other will be dedicated to pihole running on the same box. I just set up a new Ubuntu 22.04 (on amd64) server and set up two IP addresses. I'm stumped: the Squeezeboxes work perfectly with other LMS installations. In the past I was successful with LMS on VirtualBox (also linux guest on windows host). Squeezelite-X seems to be able to connect without problems.Īny idea what could explain this behaviour? I have reinstalled Hyper-V, cleaned up my network adapters, redefined the virtual switches, but the result is always the same. But I cannot reproduce it: now all my physical devices immediately go back to standby. It is not fully consistent: on one occasion a Squeezebox 3 managed to stay on without returning to standby. Then, when I switch on a Squeezebox, it briefly shows Free Your Music, and then returns to standby (after 1-2 seconds at most). As soon as they connect to the server, they go to standby. My Squeezeboxes see this virtual server, can connect and take the standby screen from it. The virtual machine is connected to an external switch (hyper-v terminology: it is present on the same physical network as the host). I have an LMS installation on a linux virtual machine running in Hyper-V in a Windows 10 host. When I click on the Edit icon the fields for name and url are displayed, however, the name is not saved. It is impossible to edit station name in the playlist. The title changes to "Title - Artist' format and artist shows the station name. Sometimes also the title and artist are not displayed properly. The artwork remains station logo - see screenshot lms-3. Of course, the same station url is stored in the Favorites and in the Playlist 5.Īnd when I press play for this station in the playlist, the artist and the title get updated to the right data, however, LMS changes the display of the currently played song - see screenshot lms-2.īTW the station name in the playlist is wrong - I can't change it, see the note below. It is even weirder as the display changes as soon as you start browsing playlists - you don't have to change anything.įor example, when I navigate to the playlist where this radio is stored (e.g.
